Breeding rights and registration
We offer a limited number of kittens with full breeding rights to serious, ethical breeders. Here is how our registration tiers and breeder program work.
Registration tiers
Every Lap Leopard Bengals kitten is TICA registered. The type of registration depends on the tier you select.
- Pet (with alteration): Companion kittens are sold on a spay/neuter agreement and are altered before pickup. They are registered with TICA for pet ownership, not for breeding.
- Show: Show-quality kittens are selected for conformation and markings and are eligible for the TICA show ring. Breeding rights are not included unless arranged separately.
- Breeder (first pick): Breeder kittens are sold with full breeding rights and TICA registration that allows you to register future litters.
The breeder program
Breeding rights are reserved for first-pick kittens at the breeder tier. Because we care where our lines go, breeder placements include a conversation about your program, your goals, and your commitment to health testing and ethical practices. We provide mentorship and ongoing breeder support to the homes we partner with.
Deposits and terms
Breeder kittens carry a 1,000 dollar deposit that is refundable after twelve months, subject to the terms of your contract. Final breeding-rights paperwork is completed at pickup along with the kitten's TICA registration and five-generation pedigree.
Our expectations
- Genetic and health testing of breeding cats.
- Ethical, cattery-appropriate housing and care.
- Honest representation of the lines and the breed.
- A willingness to stay in touch as a breeding partner.
