Our Story
A family cattery with a scientist's eye
Lap Leopard Bengals is a small, in-home cattery on the Florida and Georgia border, founded on a love of the breed and a deep respect for health and temperament.
Who We Are
Raised underfoot, bred with intention.
Our founder brings a background in molecular biology, genetics, and psychology to the cattery. That training informs every breeding decision, from the genetic testing we run on our cats to the way we read and shape each kitten's temperament from birth.
We keep our program small on purpose. Kittens are raised in the heart of our home, surrounded by the everyday sounds of family life, so they grow up confident and people-oriented. By the time a kitten is ready to leave, it is well started on litter, comfortable with handling, and used to other pets.
We are TICA registered, a member of The International Bengal Cat Society, a Bengals Illustrated Breeder of Distinction, Cat Kingpin Certified, and licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
